Ken Wells' GUMBO LIFE Book Tour

SSI is proud to welcome Veteran reporter and author Ken Wells for a special reading, discussion and book signing. Wells returns to Cajun Country with a new book every local can relate to. "Gumbo Life: Tales from the Roux Bayou" traces Wells' culinary odyssey and personal obsession with gumbo, from his childhood home of Bayou Black to the dish's European and African roots, and on to unexpected menus in China and the Vatican.

Wells will be joined by at SSI by local Chef Pat Mould, featured in the book, who will serve samples of his renowned smoked duck and andouille gumbo for attendees.
